  1. Its really hard to understand this selection or part of it, lets start with Elias I saw a stat that showed he's got a just over 50 percent success rate that is alarming, and that will kill any side, think when he came on against Ireland he lost the first lineout, now I hope and pray he goes well he has at least 3 or 4 jumper options, but when you get a penalty then a 10 meter lineout when you lose that it soul destroying, momentum is everything in rugby, Dee must be fuming, it was not his fault in the scrum against Ireland, Porter was driving across all day long and not picked up by the ref another day it would be.
North worked so hard against Ireland, and was one of the better backs Tomkins was in line to be dropped I don't
understand it I just hope the new center partnership goes well.
I think we're lucky France are playing poorly, a huge drop off in form and you could say they should have lost all three of their games, Wales at home must grab this chance we cannot be gutsy losers once more, this is why the selection is quite frankly crazy, if we had the Ireland starting 15 I would have gone with that and given ourselves a good chance, to drop North one of your best players and bring in a new center partnership, then bring in your worst hooker, and put your Captain to a alien position, why?.
I hope this lineup works France are ripe for the taking, but its could go pear shaped quite quickly, hope I'm wrong and they take France to the cleaners, but the Welsh set up is making it very hard on ourselves.

  2. It's obvious that Gatland is thinking long term. Wales, England, Italy and even Scotland (who are not in a bad place right now) are all going to improve over the next year or so. Ireland are probably soing to maintain their current level. No idea what France is up to. I think the 25 and 26 6N will be a lot more even an affair!

  3. I agree North is the best option. But only a few years left on the clock. We need to trust the young guns to step up. They won’t be as good as someone with 100 caps now but if we don’t develop them now then we will be in the same position with inexperience in positions in a few years time.

In regards to Elias. Don’t get it either haha

  4. Gatland is experimenting without the experienced players . Clearly he’s rolling the dice , at hooker it’s a last opportunity to get the line out right . Taking out north and centres might be a breath of fresh air but France could exploit the novices at key positions . We will see what happens we are where we are .its exciting but also a worry .

  5. I like the back row , not unhappy about tomkins , I don't think he should of ever played for Wales in the first place, we are not Scotland, I can not understand why north has been dropped that's a big mistake, I thought he was our best back against Ireland, I can only assume he's got a niggle c'mon cymru

  6. Can’t help thinking the French will be relieved George isn’t playing. But Gats has made big calls in the past, which have played out well … Didn’t he drop O’Driscoll for that Lions test v. Australia? Tbh I’m more excited about seeing Joe Roberts than Watkin, who’s solid but not a game changer, never MOTM

  7. Im surprised Gatland didn’t go with Teddy Williams at 6 he looked good in that cameo against Scotland in the wide channels I would have thought he would have been a better option there than Jenkins. I’ve heard some people saying North is being rested for Italy so maybe Gats is starting to panic about the wooden spoon. I hope we can see Anscombe in the Italy game he’s training with the squad so hopefully they call him up and give him a go

  8. H I Christian, Up until yesterday I thought we be in with a chance but not to have George North in the team is a bad move by Warren, I was toying with the idea of putting George on the bench and put him out in the last 30 or 25 mins by then the France team might be flagging a bit in the last 20-15 mins and to put out a fresh George North would be good for our game George dose play well against France. But now I'm not to sure of our chances this is not going to be good I hope i'm wrong. Lets wait and see, catch you soon Mate

  9. Hmm it's interesting to say the least…1st off the bat gatland or these young Welsh boys plus the differant combinations at least have no pressure on them cos at the end of the day it's still against France a squad packed with talent regardless of recent performances.. it's typical but they will with Shaun Edwards up their arse be up for this one against Wales.. I just hope Wales just go for it while playing smart in right areas.. really need an accurate kicking game from 10 aswell cos that's the only reason Wales lost 2nd half to eng.. as far as Welsh domestic game gats has said nothing wrong cos it is worse than shambolic.. a quick start by wales much needed and Welsh.crowd needs to be loud for this one .. put France under pressure from the off with crowd behind Wales and there's a chance to see if Wales have grown as a side since that 2nd half performance against scotland..

  10. I don't understand the George North and Ryan Elias changes. They've been consistently good in lack lustre performances. I'm a fan of Josh Adams but he's been very poor in this 6 nations. I was st the NZ game when Rio Dyer scited that wonder try but I'm not convinced by him. He makes to nanny wrinf decisions in attack. However, Gatland got loads of of stick ffurf dripping Brian O Driscoll on a Lions tour and he brought home the series so maybe be had a trick up his sleeve that we can't comprehend. Nice preview as always. C'mon Cymru!

  11. My only guess regarding North is that Gatland values side development over scraping results in a tournament where there isn't a great deal to play for. I'm quite looking forward to seeing what this centre partnership will do against France.
